Helen found this video this week produced by 16 year old Ava Lowery for her site Peacetakescourage.com. Hat tip to Mike Clawson
Does Jesus love the Iraqi children too? If you say “yes”, what does it *mean* to say that he does?

War kills. Saddam Hussein was brutal. He killed children. Bombs and chemical weapons do not know the ages of the people they strike.
How should Christians respond to brutal dictators like Saddam? How should we respond when our bombs kill children by accident? How should we respond to countries where the slaughter of innocents continues and where children are traded as sex slaves?
There doesn’t seem to be an easy answer.

You’re right–there doesn’t seem to be an easy answer. How to do good without doing evil?
However, it’s not at all clear to me how one can at the same time claim to be a follower of Jesus, as he is decribed in the canonical gospels, and advocate for killing one’s enemies.
