Quote for the Day

“Sweeter even than to have had the joy of caring for children of my own has it been to me to help bring about a better state of things for mothers generally, so that their unborn little ones could not be willed away from them.”

- Susan B. Anthony, 1820-1906

This really resonates with me. I am once again joining with others to Stand on Mother’s Day. Standing Women is about calling women and their families to stand for a better world for our children, grandchildren, and 7 generations beyond.

We stand for peace, an elimination of hunger, for health care for all, education for all, and more.

Last year we had over 3673 events listed in 76 nations, including 786 organizations.

And here is one more quote to add to Susan B. Anthony’s

    Helen Keller’s famous quote:
“I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something. I will not refuse to do the something I can do.”
