World Philosophy Day

We at JaC have a reputation for asking the hard questions, so today, UNESCO World Philosophy Day is a good opportunity to exercise our minds around a few more imponderables.

The BBC suggests lofty subjects such as ’should we kill healthy people for their organs’ alongside ‘are you the person that started reading this article’ and ‘did you freely and responsibly choose to read this?’ but seemed to get a bit stuck on the question ‘in conclusion’.

So, in honour of the great Philosphers, please ask us a hard question and we’ll attempt to mangle it to death like everything else.  I’ll start:  Is Social Networking the new Opiate of the People - a great question I saw on Esra’s posterous blog.

Any budding philosophers want to tackle this or any other philosophical hot potato?
