Drug addiction and alcoholism has become a fast-growing problem in Serbia with an estimated 300,000 to 500,000 drug users. With alcohol, the situation is even worse where 83% of the population is believed to abuse alcohol (Institute for Public Health). Our International Workers, alongside the local church in Novi Sad have established a Rehab Centre for men in a home setting where they receive room and board, counseling, physical therapy, and discipleship. This year the ministry expanded to two locations. Currently there are 19 men in the program. Clean, sober and with changed heart and purpose. Most of these men have made a commitment to allow God to guide their life and mend their broken heart. In April another four men who are in their final phase of rehabiliitation were baptized. Danny Kuranji (Pictured on the far right), oversees this ministry and recently wrote: “Changed lives and changed destinies is what Jesus went to the cross for! Thanks for praying for these men!”
